I would like to announce the release of my newest plugin, Sidebars. Sidebars replaces my previous two plugins, Core Sidebars and Page Sidebars. Sidebar is a plugin that allows you to create sidebars through an admin interface and apply widgets. Using conditions, apply the sidebars to certain pages / posts depending on what you select. It’s a sidebar organizer almost.
The approach to this plugin was different because I focused on usability the most and simplicity. My other two plugins focused on getting the job done but were too general. Sidebars focus on managing the sidebars and allowing for rules to display them.
Version 1.0 is a stable version for WP 2.5+. Some users have reported that sometimes the table is not created. I am working on a patch for this error.
Sidebars is also available at the Wordpress directory. Leave a comment there or on the official page on my site. Also, Sidebars is for the plugin competition so leave comments there as well.
